It was a hard fought match but a lot of mental miscues kept the home team under pressure. San Marcus had an opportunity for points, two minutes into the match, but missed the penalty attempt. Then, in the 10 minute, San Marcus converted a penalty attempt to go up 3-0. San Antonio answered right back with a try in the thirteenth minute by Sam Clements Wayne Peter Poindexter, the third, and a successful kick-after by O. San Marcus missed another opportunity at penalty points at the thirty-first minute, leaving the score 7-3 at half.
The second half felt under San Antonio's control but the score did not reflect that. San Marcus quickly scored a try in the forty-sixth minute, missed the conversion, but took the lead, 8-7. Then, in the sixty-ninth minute, Vasa barreled his way through several defenders to score, putting San Antonio back in the lead, 14–8. The last 10 minutes of the match were much improved by San Antonio from the previous meeting with San Marcus and our defense held firm to finish out the match.
Great will for San Antonio!
